Beef quality assurance

What is the Beef Quality Assurance Program?

The Beef Quality Assurance Program, often referred to as BQA, is a comprehensive, nationally coordinated initiative designed to provide guidelines and recommendations for beef cattle producers and their stakeholders. Its primary focus is to improve animal welfare, enhance beef quality, and maintain consumer confidence in beef products.

Why Choose the Beef Quality Assurance Program?

Here are some compelling reasons to be part of the BQA community:

  • Consumer Confidence: BQA-certified producers gain the trust of consumers who value responsible and ethical cattle production practices.
  • Industry Excellence: BQA-certified operations demonstrate a commitment to excellence, setting higher standards for the entire industry.

  • Market Access: Many buyers and processors prefer to work with BQA-certified producers, giving you a competitive edge in the market.

  • Sustainability: By adopting BQA practices, you contribute to the sustainability of the beef industry and the environment.
