The Tennessee Cattlemen’s Youth Association’s Youth Beef Industry Tour was developed to help youth members identify a career path that interests them. Through the Youth Beef Industry Tour, participants engage in lucrative cattle operation and industry hotspot tours. Each tour stop is thoughtfully selected to give participants a well-rounded look into the careers that exist within the cattle industry. Tour participants get a behind-the-scenes look into careers, academia, reproduction, risk management, nutrition, meat science, and veterinary medicine, all to see what career opportunities could await them. Participants also engage in leadership, networking, and professional development to prepare them for the next stage of their academic and professional careers. The goal of the Youth Beef Industry Tour is to help youth members identify a career of interest and build their toolkit to ensure they can obtain a career for the long-term sustainability of the Tennessee cattle industry.
